ABOUT JSMU
Jinnah Sindh Medical College (JSMU) also known as SMC, is a medical college situated beside Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.
JSMU started functioning on April 7, 1973 after the final decision of a committee constituted by the Government of Sindh and after its budget was approved in the first week of March 1973. Its first group of students, numbering about two hundred, was admitted to its first year MBBS class in the College for the 1972-73 session, with the late Professor Dr. Khawaja Moin Ahmd as its Project Director and First Principal.
In 2003, JSMU became a part of the Dow University of Health Sciences. It shares curriculum, faculty, and other resources with the other affiliated institutions of DUHS, namely DMC (Dow Medical College) and DIMC (Dow International Medical College). The former head of the physiology department at JSMU is now the dean of DIMC.
IBAGRADS APPROACH FOR JSMU TESTPREP
IBAGrads prepares its students for the JSMU test through MDCAT (Medical Colleges Admission Test). This course is comprised of four subjects: English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Eligibility for entrance to bachelor’s Programs:
The admission for Medical Programs would be based on any one of the following:- A Higher Secondary School (HSC) Certificate with at least *60% marks awarded by HSC (Pre-Medical) in Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Certificate – Marskheet of HSC / A Level Equivalence Certificate with minimum 60% marks, from IBCC equivalence is required.
